Pavement Preservation Prescott Municipal Airport – Update

Prescott Airport PRCThe pavement preservation and sealcoat work is scheduled for May 29 – June 3, 2014. Work will begin at 0800 Local beginning with the Bottleneck Hangar Ramp.

PLEASE REMOVE ANY VEHICLES (AUTOMOBILES, MOTORCYCLES, RVs, ETC.) FROM THE RAMP AREA FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT TO AVOID ANY DELAYS AND/OR COMPLICATIONS DURING SEALCOATING. VEHICLES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN REMOVED FROM THE RAMP ONCE WORK BEGINS MAY BE TOWED AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE IF NECESSARY.

Airport Administration Parking Lot – Closed May 31 DO NOT PARK OR YOU WILL BE TOWED – See below:

Work for this area will commence on May 31 and is expected to last one day. During this phase of the project the following businesses and hangar tenants will not be able to utilize the Administration Parking Lot: Guidance Aviation, North-Aire, Prescott Aircraft Services, Spitfire Films, Lincoln Hangar, A; B; C; and D Hangars, South Shades.

Tenants and employees of the above will need to park elsewhere (either in the terminal parking lot or the gravel lot at the corner of Crystal Lane and Ruger Road) and advise their employees and students accordingly.

The drive-through gate to North-Aire, Prescott Aircraft Services, Lincoln Hangar A, B, C & D Hangars & South Shades and associated ramp area will be inaccessible during this phase of the work. Employees and students will need to utilize either walkthrough gate from the terminal parking lot.

The drive-through and walk-through gate to Guidance Aviation, River Hangar, and Spitfire Films will be accessible. We have asked the contractor to provide signage prior to the work commencing in that lot to ensure people are not parking there. Vehicles parked in the Administration Parking Lot on the day of the sealcoat will be towed.

Bottleneck Hangars & WLD Hangar:

The Bottleneck Ramp will be CLOSED Thursday and Friday, May 29 – 30 and Monday and Tuesday June 2 – 3.

The Bottleneck Ramp will be OPEN Saturday and Sunday, May 31 – June 1 only during the hours of 0800 Local on 5/31 to 2000 Local on 6/1.

Work on “Area A” as depicted below, is scheduled to begin on Thursday May 29 and run through Friday May 30.

Work on “Area B” as depicted below, is scheduled to begin on Monday June 2 and run through Tuesday June 3.

It is still advised that tenants wishing to have access to their aircraft during this time should contact the Airport Administration Office at 928-777-1114 (0900-1700L M-F) to make arrangements to temporarily relocate their aircraft to the North Ramp or they should make other alternate arrangements.

Fuel Farm

Work on the fuel farm is scheduled to begin on the morning of Monday June 2. Work for this area is expected to commence on June 2 and is currently scheduled to be completed on the same day.

The Airport will work closely with the contractor to ensure that fuel services are not interrupted or negatively impacted during the course of this project.  Work on the Prescott/Monarch Hangar area is expected to commence Monday June 2 with completion by Tuesday June 3.

It is still advised that tenants wishing to have access to their aircraft during this time should contact the Airport Administration Office at 928-777-1114 (0900-1700L M-F) to make arrangements to temporarily relocate their aircraft to the North Ramp or they should make other alternate arrangements.

Air Carrier Apron

Work for this area will commence on Monday, June 2 and is currently scheduled to be completed within 2 days.

The work for this area will be divided into two phases in order to minimize any impacts to the airline and its customers. The Airport will work with the contractor and the Air Carrier to ensure that passenger service out of Prescott Municipal Airport is not negatively impacted.

This portion of the project will not impact parking for the Airport Terminal and associated businesses. The Airport will not be requesting any changes in airline schedules from the airline. Any cancellations of regularly scheduled air service will be at the discretion of the airline in accordance to their internal policies, procedures, and other operational needs.
