Guidance Aviation is the sole provider of professional helicopter pilot training for Yavapai College’s Professional Helicopter Pilot Program. Eligible Veterans and civilians may acquire an Associate of Applied Science Degree, Professional Pilot, with advanced certifications, creating a career path into the aviation and aerospace. This professional helicopter pilot degree program allows eligible U.S. Veterans to utilize their Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits to take helicopter flight training courses through Yavapai College.
The Yavapai College - Guidance Aviation Professional Helicopter Flight Training Program allows both civilians and US Armed Forces Veterans access to the world's most unique and comprehensive FAA Approved, high-altitude Part 141 collegiate helicopter flight training program.
Established in 1998, Guidance Aviation provides FAA Approved, Part 141 high-altitude flight training in helicopters. Guidance's courses include Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Instrument Rating, Certified Flight Instructor rating and Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument rating, as well as additional rotorcraft category and class ratings, Airline Transport Pilot certificate preparation, Special Federal Aviation Ratings (SFAR) and recurrent training. Turbine (jet) Helicopter training and transitions are also offered in our new Robinson R66 Turbine helicopters.
