We’ll be celebrating our new students while recognizing the achievements of current students and staff members. As with each new semester banquet, we’ll be recognizing an instructor pilot and a student who has gone above and beyond in promoting safety through their attitude and actions – The Safety Excellence Award.

Special Guests

Very Special Guest Barney Wasowicz, WWII Veteran, Pilot, and P.O.W., will be joining us as we share for the first time his story through video, produced by Guidance Aviation media.

Yavapai College Helicopter Pilot School

Additionally, special guests from the Veteran’s Administration have been invited as well as VIPs from the best collegiate aviation program, Yavapai College.

Drink and meal vouchers will be provided to guests so don’t worry if you don’t like chili – there is always a lot of delicious cuisine.

The WINNER of our 3rd Annual Chili cook-off will receive the coveted “Chili to a Hotter Standard” Trophy and $100!!! EACH chili cook-off participant will also receive a 3rd Annual “Chili to a Hotter Standard” t-shirt. Chili participants NEED TO RSVP with Lora Buckles at Guidance Aviation and provide her with your t-shirt size. [ [email protected] ].

For the last two years, Roginson’s “Big Momma’s Chili” hasGA_Chili_Cookoff_2015 won – beating out Stonecipher’s Wendy’s Chili re-hash and other “wanna-beans”. Is anyone ever gonna beat Big Momma’s winning recipe? Better “Go Big or Go Home!”

Participants must bring at least 4 quarts of chili – so fill up those slow cookers and pots! We will have facilities set-up to plug in your slow cooker.

Please contact Lora Buckles at Guidance Aviation with questions. 928-443-9370 or [email protected] .
